Nouriel Roubini is an economist, global macro strategist, advisor and author known for his analysis of international finance, economic policy, financial markets and systemic risk.
He is Chairman and CEO of Roubini Macro Associates, a New York-based consultancy providing strategic macroeconomic analysis. He also serves as Senior Economic Strategist to Hudson Bay Capital, Chief Economist and Portfolio Manager at Atlas Capital Team, and Professor Emeritus of Economics at New York University's Stern School of Business.
Roubini previously held senior policy positions at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and the U.S. Treasury Department, and has worked with institutions including the International Monetary Fund, Federal Reserve and World Bank. His academic research has focused on international macroeconomics and finance, fiscal policy, political economy, growth and European monetary issues.
He gained widespread international attention for his warnings about vulnerabilities in the global financial system before the 2008 financial crisis. His subsequent work has examined the structural economic and geopolitical risks that could shape the global economy, including debt, inflation, deglobalization, climate change, technological disruption and artificial intelligence.
